I practice out of our home in Belle Haven, Alexandria Virginia. My warm setting creates a relaxed atmosphere; you can avoid loud waiting rooms and that 'clinical feel'. Have a coffee and take a break while you wait for your child!
I received my Masters in Occupational Therapy from Sacred Heart University in Connecticut. I have been in the Washington DC area for approximately 5 years, although my twang is from Great Britain! I have worked with the pediatric population my whole career, specifically in the field of Sensory Integration, as well as within the school setting. I am therefore well versed in both arenas. I can be a great resource and can facilitate carry over of goals with your child's school.
When I'm not doing therapy or hanging out with my 2 gorgeous children I present fascinating (I hope!), creative and fun workshops for teachers, parents and health professionals with a company called Sensational Teaching.
